England Foods - Gatlinburg

We had dinner last night 8 13 nights. we had a nice table outside to see the water. our waitress was so nice that I had her name, but I know she's out of Romania. She stopped a couple times to make sure it's okay. So now we are 2 for 2 nice table, beautiful waitress. we were a party with 4 birthdays. 3 ordered the ribeye and 1 the filet. all were perfectly cooked as we had ordered it. it was so nice to be in the position to be dinner right in front of the parkway, but still they felt a million miles away. it is great that a local restaurant still blossoms in the middle of all chain restaurants on and off the road. so we were 3 for 3. beautiful table, wonderful waitress and excellent eating.

The back patio is right on the creek. Love this spot. We had pull pork sandwich fries that was good. Sweet sweet tea too: . Happy to patronize a place that’s been there since 1946. Our server Andre was 5 stars! We will be back!

Stopped for lunch. The creek side location is nice to sit and eat. 2 of our party had good meals, but the potato skins were inedible. They were seriously overcooked and hard, with too much greasy cheese. A bit disappointed .

We both had grilled chicken salads. Salads were generous and included cheese and egg which made them very satisfying. Companion enjoyed an old fashioned cocktail and commented that it was made with honey instead of simple syrup, which gave it a unique flavor he enjoyed. Service was great. When we asked for the Wifi password the server not only gave us the password but asked if we'd like him to type it in which he did. We greatly appreciated it as our eyeglasses were quite dirty. It was a refreshing change from most servers who give a password while walking away and we're lucky if we catch it.

Let me start with the staff, the host meet us with a big smile when we walked in Awesome!! Our waiter was just as nice too. LOL one of the waitresses was always singing with the music when she walked passed love it. If your singing your happy, lets you know its a good place to work!! Now for the food, we order the huge appetizer plate for just me and him. Everything in it was wonderful. Best onion rings i've ever had. The catfish and chicken tender where both fresh. LOL the hotwings are hot too. Cheese sticks had to be homemade cause they didn't taste like frozen ones. They also have outside eating wanted to do that but it was way to hot. We will be going back next time we are there and try the patio. GREAT!! GREAT!!!
