Chose this pub because it was near Blaydon RUFC; here to watch Wharfedale RUFC. It had decent reviews… Fish-fingers we’re in fact freshly fried fish gujons, served on a fresh, soft white roll (Stottie? . Absolutely fantastic. Staff were friendly service was prompt. Thank you

Popped in the rose and crown whilst being on a lovely country walk to be greeted by a barman who was quite mute and didn't understand the concept of dialogue and customer relations, my wife and I decided on a square pizza thinking it would be quite generous at the price of 12.99 , what they served up was absolutely disgusting not only in appearance but taste , never had anything like it , the dough and base was like eating fried ryvita, avoid at all costs as you will be disappointed

We went for lunch on 27th January, ordered 2 burger's, classic cheese burger and chilli beef burger, both with fries and coleslaw, excellent quality and well presented, best burgers I've tasted, totally recommend... Really nice friendly staff, and nice atmosphere

Ordered a Sunday dinner on the Saturday, as requested. Sunday went to collect dinner from the Rose and Crown Winlaton at the time when ordered, waited 10mins only to be told by one of the staff when passing the the dinners that you will have to put the dinners in a oven to heat as they are cold. This is not what I expect from this pub as it has always been a reputable place to eat and drink. If I had not payed I would have not excepted and walked out. Unfortunately I will not be ordering food again from the rose and crown it’s a shame as the food is always lovely.

First time to this pub, served by a lovely waitress, meals were delicious and plentiful. Inside and out was spotless, will return.
