Hungry Shack - Gateshead

Ordered food at 5:55 pm and it still hadn't arrived over an hour later. When I called to inquire about my order, they said it wasn't there, despite me having confirmation. The person I spoke to on the phone was very rude. I would not recommend this place.

As we are in Lockdown! We wanted a treat take away, and we decided to try out the ‘Hungry Shack’, and we was very pleased with the food! Really lovely Chicken, tasty gravy and coleslaw. Onion rings nice and it was not greasy! And the chips fluffy and crispy, perfect ! We will definitely be back for more! We would normally go to KFC for a fried Chicken fix! But they are closed due to Coronavirus ! So we found this place and I think I’d sooner use Hungry Shack for a fried chicken fix in the future!

The order arrived late and the chicken was cold. The chicken was okay once the batter was removed, but the batter itself was disappointing. The popcorn chicken was not worth eating. The chips were fine once heated up, but the coleslaw had a funny aftertaste. I would not order from this restaurant again.

Had a deluxe bucket and chicken was tender and fresh. Better than kfc. Staff are friendly and try to make a good deal . Recommend it 100
