Jimmy's On The Pier - Galveston

I have frequented Jimmy 's on our trips to Galveston. However, tonight we came to eat and the waiter told us it would be 30 mins. There were some empty seats at the ledge and I asked the young gentleman host if we could just sit over there since no one was sitting there. He seated us over there. We waited for 40 minutes for a waiter and no one ever came. A young couple sat down beside us and a server promptly came over and took their drink order and would not make eye contact with us. When we finally decided to leave, I dropped the menus off to the host and told him we have been waiting for 40 minutes for a server. He looked away and shrugged his shoulders in and oh well fashion What a shame that this young man is so rude and ruining the experience at such a great restaurant!!

This place is the only food spot on the beach as far as I can see, so I believe it has the best views. The food was good. We ordered fried seafood and the batter was light and crispy.The drinks was good too.

I had the seared gulf shrimp with seasonal vegetables on rice pilaf. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, seasoned, and wonderful. The sauted onions, green and red bell peppers were very flavorful and seasoned well. Prices are very good here. The seared gulf shrimp meal was $21 and had plenty of food with it. The appetizer platter with bacon wrapped shrimp with jalapeno are delicious, the pretzel bites and beer cheese dip is good, comes with plenty of fries and fried pickle chips.

Great place to grab some lunch! Our order delivered was incorrect, but it was delivered quick and our serve offered to correct it. Shrimp and fish were delish, but skip the fries! Kids meals came with a big bowl of fruit which the kids loved! Great atmosphere and despite it being hot and muggy, we were very comfortable! After lunch we walked on the pier and saw a couple of people catch sharks. A baby hammer head and one other, not sure of the kind. All in all it was a great experience!Kid-friendliness: Kids meals were great, with a big bowl of fresh fruit!

Went on a rainy day. The view was gorgeous! The gift shop was aesthetically pleasing and full of neat stuff. The service was weird. Well, our server, anyway. We tipped well and hoped her day got better.
