Bidrage med feedbackThat was great. my wife had the jambalaya and I had the crab filled reddish. we think the waiter was on a learning curve, because he was sometimes very hesitant and was a little bit laborious when he asked if we were ready for the check. After he had said he was very polite and wanted us to enjoy our experience. unfortunately, after dinner was over, we tried to get our car from the valet service, but all valets had gone to home. we were not the only ones that were uncomfortable. an overworked recipe companion was left to sort things he did with as much professionalism as he could. we are sure that the dinge will improve as we emerge from the covid kater.
Service was slow but I believe it was due to under-staffing and not poor performance. Still, it took a long time for orders to be made and for them to arrive. The food was absolutely delicious. We were very impressed. Very, very good. The prices would have been worth it if the ambience and overall experience were elevated to a more premium and possibly more romantic vibe. The restaurant is not configured in a way that encourages customers to treat the space as if they are dining in a place of any decorum or respect. The menu, the prices, the attire of the waitstaff and the location itself all suggest that a more elevated experience should be expected, but the vision is never realized and instead, one is left with a dining experience that feels empty and forgettable.

Daughter wanted a fancy birthday dinner so we ate at the hotel. Wasn 't crowded but took a bit to be seated even though we had a reservation. Waitress was nice and attentive when she checked in periodically... I 'm not sure if the issue is the kitchen or wait staff or both being extremely understaffed but took 20 min to get drinks (water/soda). Even longer for appetizers, then food. They ran out of crab so couldn 't order the crab cakes or stuffed fish. My fish was very salty and dry but the steaks were good. Overall very disappointing service for the price of food and a restaurant that wasn 't busy on a Tuesday evening. Took 2hr 15 min from time we sat down until we paid (had 1 appetizer, salad, 3 entrees, 1 kids meal, beverages from the bar).
Fabulous experience! Beautiful restaurant in Hotel Galvez!The food and service were exquisite! We plan on going back!
