Porto Antico Trattoria - GALLIPOLI

Sitting next to the seaside while still being in the center of the old town a fantastic location. The restaurant is managed by a local family which puts true love in the preparation of the meals. We enjoyed antipasti, primi e secondi each made with fresh ingredients. If you want to try true regional seafood, this is the place.

Went here on a recommendation. But had a very unpleasant experience. Owner irritated and not kind at all. Not possible to ask a question because you had to hurry up and order, while pointing irritated at the menu and making hand signatures that you had to hurry up. The food was OK, but if you ask us not worth going here for. And for the main course we had a mixed grill that did not have all the ingredients on it. Apparently they did not have all the ingredients, so they left the rest out. After some debate, they made something extra of what they had. Finally price wise not worth it. The few French fries for €5, just made us laugh.

Really pitoresque restaurant with marvelous combination of seafood and land food. The stuff is smiling, kind and helpful. Based on recommendation we have tried a lot of different dishes. All food is delicious and tasteful with affordable prices. Highest recommendation if you are in Gallipoli.
