Il Piccolo Ortofrutta Di Alfredo

Passed this little shop when we were wandering throught the narrow streets of lovely Gallipoli. This ist just on a side-street from the Duomo. Clearly caters to locals and not tourists. But since we did our own cooking in our rental apartement this was a good opportunity to get some good local products. Lots of veggies and fruit on display outside. But also some other basic grocery products inside. Owner was a friendly guy, gave us a good price and threw some herbs in for free. So, got the herbs, two different kind of chillies, tomatoes and zucchini. All nice and fresh. Made some good sides for our meals for the next few days. We enjoy shopping in some big grocery stores, but it's also important to support the small independent shops. And this here is one that offers great products for good prices. Go and have a look.
