İlhan - Gallipoli

This is a wonderful small restaurant located right next to the pier for the ferry across the Dardanelles. It is open to the water. They are known for their fresh fish where you select the whole fish and then they cook it to your specifications. I didn't want fish so wandered over to their deli case. In it I found a chicken salad, a bean salad, and an eggplant salad. All three were excellent. I was delighted with my meal.

Well there are bunch of fish restaurants around but I think this place deserves the top place among them. Daily fresh fish is available. Ask them before you make your selection. Nowadays bluefish on grill is the best! Also, worthy to mention is the best location. Just next to the Canakkale straight.

This was the only restaurant with reviews that's why I chose it, turned out to be beyond expectations. Grilled octopus and calamari was much better then the top restaurants of Istanbul. We ordered seabass grill (natural catch, not farm produce) and it was perfect. All the mezes and Turkish coban salad was delicious too. All staff is kind. This is a route I use a lot for my summer house, Ilhan Restaurant will definitely my top choice on the way.

I have never received service like this. They bring you what they want to eat and if you point it out, they then serve you junk food, after making you wait 2 hours. I threw everything to the fish and we left this incompetent, rude and rude place. The garbage they serve is fine for people like them. Absolutely avoid, especially if you are a foreigner.
