Last night in Italy really great dinner and local neighborhood people little English but we survived. Would go back again soon!

Really enjoyed eating here. Warm welcome and speaking English wasn't a problem. Great food and the locals come to eat here . I can recommend this hidden gem.

As this seems to be very much a restaurant for locals, slightly off the beaten track of normal tourist areas, I thought it would be helpful to leave a review in English as it's definitely worth checking out if you happen to be staying in Gallarate or nearby. From the outside it looks so unassuming that you'd be mistaken in thinking that it didn't have much to offer. On the contrary, this is one of the best places I've eaten in Gallarate in the 13 years plus that I've been coming here. The menu is based on the regional cooking of the area, and there is a tempting selection of primi (pasta and rice dishes served in generous portions) as well as secondi (meat and fish dishes). In my opinion it's the meat dishes that are really worth coming for. The steak I had was grilled and seasoned to perfection, the burgers were of such fine quality that they were served as they were, without buns and with the most delicious sauteed potatoes. Before that the antipasti we chose, selection of salumi and cheeses were served in generous portions with lots of fresh bread and were of excellent quality. The lardo in particular was exquisite. For dessert, the banana cake was definitely the star, homemade and served warm, beautifully moist and light and full of flavour. The kitchen is run by Grazia who is evidently a most excellent cook and a lovely lady. Service was friendly and welcoming and the prices very reasonable. Highly recommended.

I called several times to book but did not answer me (especially the number that is indicated below is not correct), when he answered me on the phone told me that they are under renovation but that the day I needed to book would be opened and make the reservation, and now comes the nice, the day of dinner with my friends we arrive at the restaurant and guess closed for the renovation
