Shieldaig Lodge - Gairloch

A lovely friendly hotel, knowledgeable and aware of cross contamination eg separate toaster, not using the same tongs when giving me my bread roll etc. I had the choice of most of the menu with some minor adaptations and announcing gluten free as they gave me the breakfast or dinner, just giving me that extra reassurance. We stayed 2 nights and I left completely well.

We had the most amazing wedding weekend at Shieldaig Lodge! It really couldn’t have been better. The staff were all exceptionally helpful, kind and attentive and really went above and beyond to make our wedding day weekend perfect. Every meal was outstanding definitely some of the best food we have ever had. The lodge itself is also very beautiful and surrounded by incredible scenery. We hadn’t been to Shieldaig Lodge before our wedding and it definitely exceeded our expectations. We would 100% recommend a visit and are already so excited to go back!

Attended a wedding. The views were beautiful, rooms were what was expected but the food awful. People's beef was pretty much mooing on the place, but they felt awkward sending it back. I wouldn't recommend eating here.

We were a bit disappointed. the hotel was quiet old and the prize was way to high- still the house has a certain touch of creativity. 200 Pound less and it would have been fine. more a 3star hotel than a 4 star hotel. the falconery we booked was awesome though!

Overall a beautiful lodge in a remote area of Scotland. Stayed for just one night in the smaller single room. The room was fine, but the bed was quite small, and a bit cramped. Not too much of an issue. The bathroom was very spacious and clean. The service was also nice, if a bit stop and start (I understand there is a staffing shortage across the whole of UK). My biggest recommendation is really on the food and bar. Would be lovely to make the bar area as comfortable as the lounges. I found myself wanting to take my whisky outside or into another area. Additionally the dinner was fine, but a bit underwhelming. The hours for dining (breakfast and dinner) are quite limited. Just a few hours in the morning and the evening. I was overall happy with my stay, but I wouldn't be tempted to stay here for more than a night.
