Cedar River Seafood - Gainesville

My first visit here, but not my last one by far. Everything was 10. I was actually shocked at the high quality and amount of food served for lunch. Unbelievable quality food. The oysters cooked for perfection (the oysters are 7 of the 9 large food groups, so I take them seriously), the frits crispy and the Cole Slav was magical. I never have enough HUSH PUPPIES. They're always fat and not good. That was wonderful and I will always order them. The iced tea was so good without the whole chlorine water taste serving so many city restaurants. An 11 in 10th scale perfection in Gainesville. My only fish restaurant.

After living on the gulf coast of Mississippi for 20 years then moving here to Gainesville I was missing the great food, then a friend recommended cedar river seafood. What a great place with excellent seafood and great people. They really know what they are doing.will definitely be a returning customer!

Came for lunch. We took a seat right away. The drinks are huge. I ordered Clam Chowder who came out right away. All our lunch plates came out in less than 10 minutes, although they were super busy. The portions were huge for the price and the whole food was so good. We had an excellent experience.

Cedar River Seafood was a great experience. We were in town for a softball tournament and have a Google search of restaurants and came to CRS. We were greeted as soon as we came in. A few moments later our waitress came and she was so pleasant! Very nice and attentive. Our food came fast, hot and delicious! Plenty of food. I was surprised how many fish I received. Everyone was very nice. The restaurant was clean. I really enjoyed my experience!

The food was excellent! I had a seafood platter that came with fish, scallops, shrimp, clams, a deviled crab and 2 sides. Our server Jackie... I believe was very friendly and attentive too our table. We will definitely be going back.
