Lil' Pruett's Drive-thru - Gadsden

They know how to make a sandwich ! So big you can only eat a half juicy ! Very quick and yummy

I think one of my favorite things about Bama is that in addition to traditional drive through options they also have drive through BBQ....really this is only in the south. Arrived about normal lunch time, and there was one car in front and one car behind me. The menu is small because they focus on quick, if you want the full BBQ experience then go to Pruett's right next door and have a sit down BBQ/comfort style offerings. If you're looking for quick and good and on the run, then it's hard to go wrong with what they have to offer here. BBQ sandwiches start $1.49 each (limit of 10) and they are really pretty sizeable for the price. It is a little hard to place the order, the intercom system isn't the best. But we were able to get it sorted out and they got my order exactly the way it was ordered. Staff was friendly and they seem to do their best to not keep anyone waiting too long. High recommended for BBQ on the run

On my next-to-last visit, I ordered food and a cup of ice water. I was charged $1.79, the price of a regular soft drink or iced tea, for a cup of iced water! I would love to have their sweet tea if I could, but I must drink water because I am a Stage 4 kidney failure patient, so I had no choice but to pay their price—even though I questioned it and will never order water there again. Today, I ordered 6 Bbq’s, 2 orders of fries, and a piece of pie. They were busy—my fault, too, but didn’t notice that I was charged for 3 side orders rather than 2 orders of fries! Needless to say, I had driven from almost Hokes Bluff to Lil Pruetts’ for my food, so I was not going to go back for $1.99 tax refund. Love their food, as did my guests, but a long way to go to feel ripped off-not once but twice!! So my last two visits, I feel I have gotten ripped off by going thru the drive thru at Lil Pruetts—they don’t appreciate their customers enough to take time to get their orders correct!!!! I don’t get to have food from there often so it is really a treat for me when I do get it!! Please be more careful — there was no one in line behind me, so it’s not like your workers were extremely rushed!!! I HOPE JERRY READS THIS!!

I ordered 2 large finger plates with 1 of them having 3 extra chicken fingers when I got home 1 plate had 3 fingers and they didn't give me my extra fingers. I paid for it I should have got what I ordered

Pruett's Restaurant is a great place to get traditional comfort food, but this drive thru option is consistently terrible. I've been going there for years and watched it go completely downhill. After today I simply will never go back. The food is always cold, freezing cold! I thought surely going at peak lunch hour, 12:30, would guarantee that my food would be hot, but it did not. Not even heating it back up makes it better the quality is simply no where near as good as in the restaurant. The portions are also much smaller, though the price is still the same. It's a shame to have to write this place off, there's no reason why it couldn't be as good as sitting down to have a meal, but sadly it is not.
