Bidrage med feedbackI have been eating here for at least 2 years now. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I’ve literally eaten here well over 100 times. It is my favorite food spot in Japan and I can’t ever get enough of it. Very friendly service and great family owned restaurant. Always high quality put into their work. A hidden gem for sure. It’s a bit pricey but worth every yen.
Amazing Jamaican food for the location, they're very polite fast with orders. I love how calm the atmosphere. They have GINGER BEER!
Toraneko is a small restaurant in Fussa, Tokyo that serves delicious dishes from Jamaica, Indonesia, and Thailand. I enjoyed many meals here and each time is better than the last. This place also has a good vibe The Mrs. and I ordered the Indonesian Naci Goreng and the girls ordered chicken and rice and a Thai Basil dish. The spice levels were perfect. We parked in the hospital parking lot across the street. They also have an extensive beverage and dessert menu. I totally recommend this restaurant.
Was the first and only customer while I was here for an early lunch on a Saturday. A lunch set includes a spring roll appetizer, which was really fresh and tasty, especially with the sweet chilli sauce it comes with. I had the jerk chicken with rice and peas. It was simple and nothing fancy, but it was comforting and delicious, and the homemade chilli sauce it comes with has a nice hot kick to it. My only gripe though, is that there aren 't many peas in the rice and peas to really justify it being called as such. The chai I had after the meal was great, it was sweet, but not too sweet, warming and fragrant from whatever spices were used. Service was subdued; I didn 't receive much of a welcome as I entered the restaurant, in fact the guy looked surprised to see me as he opened up shop.
Good variety on the menu, a little taste of international dishes. Each dish prepared with great care and rich flavors. Hot chai tea, fresh spring rolls, falafel, banh mi, jerk chicken, coconut custard, and bean/tapioca/mochi dessert were all excellent. Great service. Cozy place, relaxed ambiance, pretty aesthetic. Perfect for family meal or date. Reasonable prices. Cash only. Limited parking.
