Restaurante Dona Amélia - Funchal

Cosy dining room in a traditional style. Amazingly friendly service and great food at fair price. What's not to like?.

Our last meal in Madeira and it still impressed! Considering the very high standard of dining on the island this like many of the others offers an excellent dining experience with impressive and genuine service.

Dinner with my wife. It was by far the best meal we had in Madeira and very good value compared with restaurants at home. Prawns in garlic sauce were delicious. Chateaubriand was exceptional and generously served. Sidónio, our waiter, was friendly and helpful with our choices and all the staff seemed to enjoy being there. We will definitely be back here next year. Thank you, Dona Amelia!

That was a nice restaurant. The food was good and the staff was very accommodating. We had kids with us and they made us feel at home. It is also located on a street that is fun to go and spend time.

We had a table with magnificent views. Food and madeiran white wine were good. The service was very friendly but fast. A little strange is that Aperitif is not on the map.
