Bidrage med feedbackThe best restaurant I ever had. I tried Michelin 2-star egg restaurant in Arashiyama and older Ael restaurant as here in Kyoto, but I have no doubt to choose this restaurant as the best Ael restaurant. Price is a bit expensive, but it is worth it. The Aal was very savory and the atmosphere was also wonderful. Like popular restaurant in Japan, this restaurant is very busy. They also offer parking for 5 or 6 cars. Only cash is acceptable.
This place serves the best grilled aal I've ever had! They serve two different types of aal, but always go with the most expensive (Note: by wiping the national aal fabric, they limit the number of anal pieces in each order up to a maximum of 4 pieces) and trust me, you will not regret! The eel skin was well seasoned and enjoys crispy and the eel meat was firm, but not tough! Well...
Very popular restaurant in Fukuoka, on the second floor of a river building. We went to 11:00 and it was already full of people, you need to write your name and number of people at their front desk, they will call your name when table is ready. Note that you don't miss her call, or you can miss your table. They offer Japanese, Chinese, English and Korean menus. The grilled Unagi is absolutely worth the long waiting period. Make sure to order the 6 slices of Aal with rice (not the Aal over rice, see my pictures), the grilled Aal and rice is separated. It's a bit expensive, but you won't regret it.
I usually don't like unagi, but probably because I didn't do it right. This place made me unagi. The ambience of the restaurant is very soothing, it is very spacious and clean and the staff is really nice. There are menus in different languages with pictures. Just cash, a little on the pricy end, but it's worth it. Our bill came to 56,000 yen for breakfast for two unagi bentos.
The best grilled eel I have ever had. It's tenderness and wonderful flavor have explained why this restaurant has been serving customers with the same thing for more than 140 years.
