Asia Phönix - Füssen

The food here was amazing, authentic and very reasonably priced; the service was also impeccable, the waiter was welcoming and kind. On top of this, the atmosphere and interior of the restaurant was very nice. Please come here if you have the chance, I can wholeheartedly say that it’s an extremely underrated restaurant and that it definitely deserves more attention!

Sometimes when you have been traveling in Europe, there comes a time when you really can’t face another pork knuckle or a bratwurst or even pasta and you are looking for something different. We tried “Phoenix” for those reasons and it was a really pleasant surprise. We didn’t know what to expect but the food was good and I mean good. We eat Asian food all the time in PA and we really enjoyed all of the food and the service was excellent. We particularly liked the “hot” dishes served on a sizzling platter with the sauce added at the table we had two of these. Soups were good, we had chicken, duck and beef and all were good. Portions were plentiful (we had appetizers and three main dishes for 4 and that was more than enough). We ate outside in the evening but the decor inside looked attractive if eating out wasn’t possible or what you were looking for. So, overall highly recommended enjoy!

Terrible customer service from ignorant, insulting, aggressive staff. Food came out so fast it must have been microwaved. No options for children's meals. Bland, tasteless, awful place. Your money would be better spent elsewhere.

Visit from 02.11.2013 The “China Restaurant Phönix” is a typical place with the appropriate, sometimes kitschigen accessories. The delicious food is individually flavored and is characterized by the mass of Chinese restaurants. However, the price-performance ratio is remarkable, actually incredible. If you like the Chinese flair, this place is recommended. The “China Restaurant Phönix” is located in the old town of Füssen and is easily accessible on foot from the parking lot near the Sparkasse (about 5 minutes). The restaurant has no own parking and can only be easily reached by car, and there are no stairs in the restaurant either on the toilets. To the ambience, now, China! Colorful, plump, detailed and playful. In the front area there are some tables on the windows, then closes a narrower hose to the back, where there are also tables, along with the counter for the daily buffet (Monday to Saturday per lunch and evening and laterally the toilets. I'm coming to cleanliness. It may or may not be that after lunch the toilets are not controlled and cleaned. When we arrived shortly after the opening for the evening business, I visited the toilet and had to find that the floor was really “sticky”, all the dirt tracks of the lunch business were there, the garbage buckets were over and the toilet glasses were razing and sloping. Since the tables were not thoroughly cleaned – even if intarsia covered with glass plates(? Areas – there are considerable deductions here. The service was performed by two ladies who performed very fast, friendly, attentive and skillful their service. However, because of language difficulties, it is recommended to dispense with food changes or special wishes, which could otherwise be an evening-filling task; . The menu is very, very extensive, yet more diverse as usual. One page with Thai dishes is also included. You need time to work here. The use of flavor enhancers, i.e. glutamate, is mentioned in the appropriate dishes. Now to the actual reason of the visit, the food! We ordered two different crispy ducks at 12,50 € each, a phoenix plate approx. 11 € and once beef with onions at 10.80 €. As starters we had a Beijing soup at €2.70 and spring rolls (5 small with salad and final tip at €2.50. Certainly, it also works here with the usual providers of Chinese gastronomy, but it is also possible to recognize the efforts of the kitchen that they are willing to withdraw from the great of their colleagues with a personal note. A duck was, for example, with a separate sauce, which was seasoned interestingly with cinnamon. Both ducks with really pink skin and juicy meat. Koriander also works (for some it tastes like “Spüli”. Therefore, there is nothing to complain about the quality of food, the orientation is the usual standard, the portions are really sufficient. As aperitif we were offered “in the house” of the usual plum brand. I still cheat like this place for years in the cost. The beers come from the warehouse brewery in Kaufbeuren and are offered with €2.60 for wheat.

For 4 years we visit the Phönix restaurant in feet once or twice a week during our holidays. very rich buffet, which is sown again and again. the Chinese soup: a dream. delicious roasted chicken and bark, with roasted rice. very nice, attentive staff. Thank you.
