The Shack - Ft Walton Beach

Saw the reviews and were excited for some decent seafood. Sadly the food did not live up to the reputation. The fish tacos were bland and watery. The fish dinner was fine but nothing to tell your friends and neighbors about. If it wasnt for a lovely waitress I would be giving this place 2 stars because the front desk was absolutely awful. They werent even busy and they seemed like I was irritating them for showing up. Very dissappointed. bland and unexciting food with a great spot on the water. They seem to capitalize on their venue and not care about anything else.

I love the Fried Green Tomatoes with their house-made volcano dressing! I've ordered it as an appetizer and as my lunch.

We sat outside and got excellent service. I had the crab cake and fries. Loved it. Would come back again. When I come back to Destin.

Ate here with a group of 5 while in the area for a conference. Great setting and the food was all very good. Bar drinks were a little on the too sweet/weak side, but not bad. Overall, recommended.
