Bidrage med feedbackGreat little place! The weather was perfect to sit outside, but there is a lot to sit. Had the breakfast Burrito, couldn't finish it!, just ok big! Was really delicious and the green chili wasn't too bad. Portions are big and prices are not too bad. Definitely recommend!
I was unfortunately listening to a work meeting while the rest of my family enjoyed the ambiance, the friendly efficient service and delicious food here. Actually I enjoyed the delicious food too. If you are trying to choose a breakfast spot, this is the one! My chicken fried steak was one of the best on this road trip. I would only suggest the one thing that marred the enjoyment of the al fresco dining experience was a number of flies that also wanted to join us, which meant my kids kept swatting at me while I was eating. This little section of Fruita, if you are traveling, has a lot of marvelous statues and artwork within one block.
This restaurant is not your typical breakfast and lunch café that simply serves whatever you're craving. What truly sets it apart is the exceptional service! The staff is incredibly helpful, friendly, and quick. It's a counter service establishment, and breakfast is served until noon, so make sure to visit during traditional breakfast hours if you're in the mood for a hearty meal. The prices are quite reasonable, with entrees ranging from $10 to $13. I ordered the chicken tacos (a smaller portion, but that wasn't an issue) and they came with a side of fries, which was a great bonus. They also offer options like onion rings. The service here is wonderful, and there's a charming outdoor terrace that's dog-friendly.
Wow! Is this the best breakfast I've ever had? Absolutely! The Chili Verde, country gravy, green onions, and crushed poblano paprika on a delicious three-meat breakfast burrito were simply perfect. My wife ordered the chili relleno breakfast, and I can honestly say that Camilla makes the finest chili relleno I've ever tasted – it was crispy and delightful. I also tried the hotcake, and let me tell you, it might just be the best hotcake I've ever had. It was dense and crispy, amazing beyond words. You owe it to yourself to visit this amazing restaurant in the Grand Valley. Who would have thought that Fruita was hiding such a gem?
The food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly. However, I'm not a fan of the tipping system they use. Tips should be given after the service based on the quality of the experience. A 20% tip for a meal feels excessive, especially when it’s included automatically. It would be better to simply incorporate it into the menu prices so that everyone can contribute equally. The current model is quite off-putting and takes away from the charm of this lovely little restaurant.
