Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my order as there was hardly any meat in the tacos. Although the prices initially seemed reasonable, I was shocked when my single order for lunch ended up costing $22.89. SHADY!!! Not only was I surprised by the high price, but I also left the restaurant feeling unsatisfied and hungry. Based on this experience, I have decided that I won 't be returning to La Unica Taqueria in the future.Don’t waste your money here. Smallest portions rationed unacceptable, and never again. You got me good. Thank you I bought myself a lesson.
We went to La Unica with an open mind. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The carne asada and salsa are good by themselves. The taco platter and burrito were a huge disappointment. They were bland and we had to add salt and salsa for flavoring. We received 1 napkin and a cup of ice with no water. My husband and I had to share a napkin because the staff was no where to be seen while we are our food. I really wanted to like this place because it's a small business, but we will be taking our money to the other taquerias we like.
So i walked in and told the old lady that everyone is talking about on the reviews that i wanted a pozole she said ok then a group of customers walked in and took their oder then another person walked in and as well took his order then she come to me and asked me what i wanted like seriously!!!!The pozole had no meant at all only a chunk of skin and definitely no authentic taste i felt like i was drinking water the pozole was thrown to the trash never coming to this place agian!
My parents were in town and looking for a local Mexican restaurant similar to what we experienced in south Texas, and I remember passing by this place in the past. The establishment looks like it was a home converted to a restaurant, so definitely has a very intimate ambiance and was exactly what we were looking for. There’s a small dining area of about 6-7 tables, so not a lot of room but that was not a problem for us. We had to park across the street as there were only a few parking spaces, but again, wasn’t an issue for us.Our server was attentive and the owner stopped at our table to chat and refill our coffee. She chatted with my parents about their home towns in Mexico.Menudo, caldo de res, and guisado de puerco were all good. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a small Mexican restaurant with homemade food. It reminded me of the restaurants you find down in the Rio Grande Valley.
The worst service that can exist excessively rude He never returned to that place A chicken broth without chicken ?? Only with vegetables that looked like they had been ground in a blender ?
