Gem Of Thailand - Fresno

We have enjoyed this restaurant since it was Toon Thai. It changed years ago but the quality has remained quite high. We enjoy the Phad Si Ewe (spelling) mango salad occasionally the seafood hot soup. The nice thing is that they will add additional ingredients upon ur request. My wife really like vegetables she loads up on extra broccoli mushrooms. I will order combinations of meats that aren't listed together such as shrimp or scallops along w/ chicken, pork, or beef. They charge a little extra but it's nice to eat what u like want. The staff owners are always attention to ur needs not overly intrusive.

A few of us from the office go here for lunch periodically. Uniformly, the comment is it 's not bad. It satisfies our hunger pains but the restaurant doesn 't necessarily wow us. The service is always good. The servers are very courteous. But it 's just good, not great.

My favorite Thai. Some things have changed: the little sterno, BBQ fire pot does not come out with the chicken satay and the sweet owner who always wore a traditional dress was not there hosting or taking orders. The food was still BEAUTIFUL and tasted light, clean DO TASTY. We ordered the Mango Salad, shrimp Pad Thai Chicken Pad Thai extra sprouts: each pad thai tasted TOTALLY different than the other. The shrimp leaned to savory the chicken more touch of sweet with a light bite of spice...PERFECTION. The chicken satay is ALWAYS cooked perfectly paired up with the peanut sauce cucumber thai chili salad. It is still served with the slice of toast.... just missing that BBQ pot.

We couldn’t take pictures of our food because we ate it so fast and it was SO GOOD. The service was on point 100/10. We’ve officially found our new favorite Thai food place and we’ve tried pretty much all of them in Fresno. This is the BEST. I've been coming here for years and it's great food! It's for sure the best Thai restaurant in Fresno. ?
