Bidrage med feedbackLet me tell you, I order the same as I did at every other seafood restaurant (same item same weight) and the portions was extremely small. I am sure their scale is broken. This is ridiculous. In addition, the seasoning did not hit the spot, I always look forward to eating sausage as well and the sausage was not cooked well enough and tasted weird. I will not be coming back here.
Seafood boil is good. But don’t order the calamari. Ordered calamari with fries and they gave me 90% fries with just like 10% calamari. For 13$. If you want calamari you would get more for your money ordering it at dog house grill. Would give it more stars but the workers were kind of rude when they were confronted.
I 've had my fair share of authentic Cajun boils as well as the popular Vietnamese style boils in SoCal. FOB is like the second style but unlike SoCal there 's more garlic with a slightly sweet citrus and tomato flavor to their Cajun sauce for the boils. We shared a head-on shrimp and live crawfish boiled platter with corn and sausage. The platter stayed nice and hot for the whole meal and the shrimp were good. The crawfish were on the smaller side and some of them were dead when cooked (there 's a different taste and color to the meat. The corn was overcooked like it had been double-cooked and did not have much flavor although it was served in the sauce. The only sausage available is a kielbasa which tastes like a fancy hot dog. We would have preferred something more authentic and flavorful like a hot link or andouille. All said and done, this was a decent option when one does not want to travel to LA/OC or the Bay Area for a piping-hot pile of spicy seafood.
Love eating here! The boiled sampler is absolutely delicious. Everything is so fresh. The flavor is perfect!Food: 5/5
I believe this is a family-owned restaurant. While the food was good, the service was so-so. The waitress was a lady who barely welcomed us nor did she check in to see if there was anything else we needed. The only person who smiled was the nice, young gentleman who served our meals . The confusing part is not knowing where to pay the bill since no one spoke to us since our order was taken. Not a totally bad experience but fortunately, the meal didn't taste bad.
