Bidrage med feedbackI enjoy the food and the staff are very friendly, but the restaurant only offers outdoor seating which can be a hit or miss depending on the weather. The food receives a perfect 5 out of 5 rating.
I can't believe I haven't reviewed Don Tacha until now...maybe because I've been too busy enjoying their food whenever they come to mind! This is the best place for $0.99 ground beef tacos, which are available every day, not just on Tuesdays. Mama Tacha is an excellent cook, especially when it comes to her rice. Don't forget to try their habanero salsa, and they recently swapped their French fries for thin sliced potato chips, which should be eaten quickly with ketchup! I love this family-owned business; they do a great job keeping the place clean, even though it's located in a busy area of Fresno. They are closed on Sundays.
Stopped by for a couple of tacos and a beer! Perfect! Delicious. Authentic. Anyone complaining about this place probably also complains at Taco Bell! : . I’ll be back soon!Food: 5/5
At a first glance, Don Tacha 's seemed like a really nice, quaint taco shop! I wanted SO BAD to like it! Unfortunately, after receiving our food, it was immediately noticed by my wife and I that the asada appeared old. We proceeded to remain optimistic, only to confirm our initial suspicion. The meat was old and tasted freezer burned. After a couple of bites, my wife and I decided to conclude our lunch. I took our plates up to the counter and explained to the gentlemen of our hapless experience. He proceeded to attempt to convince me that the freezer burned flavor is a smoked flavor and that I must not like the smoky flavor. I continued to state that I know what smoked meat taste like and that it did not taste smoky, it tasted FREEZER BURNED! He said he didn 't know what freezer burned meant. I explained the definition to no avail. I wanted to give Don Tacha 's a chance at redemption by at least offering me my money back, as I returned nearly 95% of the food. To my dismay, our visit did not end that way. I was prepared to deny the refund in light of such a professional gesture. Instead, this gentleman was disingenuously apologetic and invited me back on Saturday to enjoy discounts on micheladas. Obviously I do not plan on returning to Don Tacha 's in the foreseeable future. I 'll end with this tidbit of advice: Don Tacha 's...more like Don 't Touch-a this food with the most unrefined palate! Sorry, that was a dad joke .
Best freaking tacos in town at the best price! Their churros have dulce de leche in the middle and they’re soooo delicious! The fries are homemade potato chips and they do NOT disappoint, I got them plain this time but next time I’m gonna try the asada fries. 10/10 I would recommend going there if you want authenticity!Kid-friendliness: Family atmosphereWheelchair accessibility: It’s all flat inside so you can take a wheelchair in there and onto their patio.
