Bidrage med feedbackThe restaurant is expensive and the food does not meet the price. Are the owners just in it for the money? Why charge so much for a basic dish like noodles or rice?
If I could give it a negative star, I would. I recently hosted my mother's birthday party at this restaurant, and the bill came to $280. I paid $300 even, but the waitress had the audacity to inform me that I must pay a 15% gratuity or they would automatically charge me 20%. This is completely illegal and a scam to overcharge consumers. Gratuity should be optional and based on the customer's discretion, not a mandatory policy that is not clearly stated on the menu. I will never return to this establishment, as it seems to be run by individuals who threaten to overcharge their customers.
The restaurant at this location is superior to the one in Cupertino, offering a more varied menu and more delicious flavors. I will definitely be back if I am in the area again.
One of the unfortunate aspects of this branch of Local Cafe is that their prices are a bit-higher than their other locations. However that's largely because the environment and atmosphere more than make up for it. Local Cafe Fremont as a sprawling karaoke set up, and an excellent selection of beverages all lined up on these massive fridges against the wall. They also have a claw machine (that's a little rigged in my opinion). The food is wonderful and authentic. Especially love their afternoon tea options. They are a good example of casual authentic cantonese, South-Chinese cuisine.Kid-friendliness: Kid-friendly area, claw-machine, kid-related decor.Parking: Pacific Commons has a sprawling parking lot, with plenty of spaces.
The curry prok cutlet was very mild in curry flavor. HK eggettes were dark brown. Chef cooked the wrong dishes, some items were not available after placing the order. 6 or so pieces of chicken wings appetitizer was $16, a bit pricey. Overall cost was reasonable, about $20 per person for a large group.
