Black Creek Diner - Freeport

We were looking forward to eating here the first time but were very disappointed when we arrived. All the food on the menu was sitting behind plexiglass under heat lamps. We asked if any food was cooked to order, the answer was no. All the food is precooked and sitting under the heat lamps. Fries, fried shrimp, chicken fingers, hamburgers, sliders, etc. They did not have chicken sandwiches made from chicken breasts. He mentioned they are about to merge with another restaurant and they do not yet have the chicken breast in inventory even though it is on the menu. I do hope for the sake of the business that the merger next week will improve the food situation and not have all the food precooked and kept under a heat lamp. I do not treat my food at home that way so why would I want to pay someone to treat my food that way? I hope this post helps improve the good quality.

Angel is amazing and so, accommodating the fried liver is the best !! Local, friendly, and decent home cooked food lunches it’s a no brainer . Not many options out here so, happy to have them.
