Bidrage med feedbackI can appreciate the higher prices due to the downtown location, however, I found the food to be disappointingly average. What really detracted from my overall experience was the service. Despite there being plenty of empty tables, we were kept waiting for over 25 minutes before our food finally arrived after being told to wait to place our order.
We have dined at this restaurant a few times, but it is a bit of a distance from us. Mian is situated in the heart of downtown and offers a wide variety of vegetarian dishes. They serve noodle dishes, pho (vegetarian broth), ramen, bento boxes, buns, and other appetizers. I particularly like their grilled tofu, which is both flavorful and healthy - two qualities that can be hard to find in many other restaurants in town. I especially enjoy the grilled tofu in the slightly sweet bun and in the bento box. My usual order is the bento box, which comes with a small spring roll, 3 dumplings, a small salad with ginger, rice, and grilled tofu. There were a couple of tiny pieces of broccoli that I would suggest they skip altogether. The flavors are very bold, but for $15, I wouldn't consider it to be very filling. It is the most expensive vegetarian option, with most dishes falling in the $9-14 range. My boyfriend tried the Pad Thai and thought it was good, with a decent portion size containing egg and chicken. I really enjoy the food here, but the prices are a bit high for us, so we only splurge on it occasionally.
This restaurant in Fredericksburg is the top spot for noodles. They offer a wide variety of broths, noodles, and proteins for both Pho and Ramen dishes. My go-to order is the Pho with extra chili oil - it's delicious!
The food was delicious, could have had more beef and accoutrement. Broth was good, food was served quickly and the veggie dumplings were amazing. Only complaint, its a bit pricy for pho and serving size.
Walking into the place I was very optimistic and hopeful. A cute interior and exterior invites someone into a metropolitan-esque noodle shop with large painted murals inside. I order my bowl and to my surprise the regular ?large? bowl of ramen withtonkotsu 10 hour process and chashu pork and 1 side was 17$. I waited about 5 minutes and received my bowl. First bite withspicy chili oil and super flavorful broth and wonderfully hand made noodles made me excited! I continued to eat and was lookingforward to my chashu pork next. I grab 1 of 2 slices and to my dismay it was extremely tough, overcooked and both slices wereonly about an 1/8 of an inch each. Bummer, but since my original bite tasted good I thought well, that?s okay. But then I wentfor what looked like a delicious marinated par boiled egg. When I bit in the yoke was over cooked and dry. It literally made megag. There is a photo attached to prove. This is such a major part of the elements. I really had hoped for a more overallpositive experience, but with the price being as high as it is, the pork and egg being over cooked and under flavored, I cannotsay I would recommend this place to someone passing by.
