Waldhotel Rennsteighöhe - Frauenwald

A great location to explore the Thuringian Forest. The bungalows are great and invite you to stay for several days. The single rooms at the hotel are small. For hikers who want to stay only one or two nights, they fully fulfill their purpose.

Very nice hotel in Thüringer Wald. Reception, service team and food are absolute top. We can recommend this hotel in full and will be happy to come back.

We were traveling with the motorcycle have spent a night here rooms were clean and tidy the food delicious .I can only recommend the accommodation.

We were only at the Bunker Museum and then there still something to eat and we have to forgive 5 stars for the whole service and the museum visit including guided tour, because our visit there was one of the highlights of our short two-day tour to the Thuringian Forest. Beginning with the many, existing free parking spaces, the three bright, friendly ladies behind the counter at the ticket purchase for ́s Bunkermuseum, the nice guide (who still write it) with very extensive knowledge about the history of the bunker and finally the very good food that was then connected with time, but we were also there to relax! For anyone who is in the area, the Bunkermuseum and then a return to the Waldhotel Rennsteighöhe is actually a must! Thanks again for having nice staff! We'll come back sometime!

Great restaurant with really fabulous food. Open fireplace in the restaurant, open fireplaces outside the door. Nice and clean and definitely worth a visit. We were invited to a 60th birthday and really impressed what jewel is so deep in the Thuringian Forest. Highlight was also the tour of the bunker with many background infos. Great experience. We like to come back.
