La Petite Colombe - Franschhoek

The quality of the food is average, the restaurant tries to put on a show for each dish to the detriment of flavour. The utmost ridiculous “show” is the fish cooked in oil on your table. Absolutely uninteresting and brings an unpleasant oily fast-food smell in the dining room. By the way this dish could be good if the fish had just been cooked in a pan. Finally the wine pairing is very expensive for bad or average wines.

We had a fantastic afternoon today. The food and the service was outstanding and I like their outside and interior more than La Colombe.
