H'ugo's - Frankfurt am Main

Unfriendly waiters, high prices and tiny portions that tasted only average. Disappointed as this restaurant is much better in other cities throughout Germany.

Came here on Monday 9 p.m. with my partner for late dinner. Only 4 tables were taken and two waiters were roaming around. Doesn 't seem super busy eh? For 10 minutes we had to just stay upstairs and wait until 'welcoming ' staff notices us and offers a table but we failed miserably, even though they were walking by. So, we had to approach them ourselves and we were offered a table (out of a bunch around, perfectly served), that was not even cleaned! Still hoping for a nice evening, we took another one and guess what? Another 10 mins we were waiting to get menu but no one bothered to bring!!! Guys, are you sure hospitality is really your business? Maybe makes sense to look into opening a gas station? Then people will be coming, serving themselves, paying and leaving Really unbelievable! Awful experience! Never again

It has an excellent location, in one of the luxury shopping streets in the city center. The interior is very disappointing nicely designed but they have cramped in so many tables that the people can barely pass around them sideways. Just imagine how crowded and noisy it could be in rush hours. The waitress had difficulties to deliver our food and drinks even when the restaurant was half full... We had been there with several friends to have a late lunch and a couple of drinks. I ordered pizza and the food was rather average but extremely overpriced. I would only recommend the place if you really want to waste money or show off to your friends...

4pm on a Friday, feeling hungry, stopped by this place and had salad and pizza. Very positively surprised by quality and price, especially for a truffle pizza. Inner court terrace is very nice and really gives a big city feel.

We came here after a trade show for an event. The set menu was very well selected and tasted great. The steaks were on point and the service was good but slow at times. I'd definitely come back to check out their regular menu.
