Roy Rogers - Franconia

Mixed review. Maybe it was the time of the day or something. I had a 2-piece dark meat with biscuit, roast beef sandwich and mozzarella sticks. The good: chickens seemed fresh and crispy. Mozzarella sticks were also hot/fresh. Melty enough without being clumsy. : The Roastbeef sandwich was just off. I came home and opened it to supplement estates, the beef was kind of dry/cold, but also somehow soaked the underside of the roll to the point where it fell apart. There was not much beef either. It was a thin pile in the middle of the roll that didn't even get to the edges. The biscuit was just a bit off. The center was good, but the outside was overly hard. It seems like it was baked, too long rested, and was perhaps left under a heat lamp or quickly back in a microwave because of how hard the exterior was. I'd give him another shot, though I'd be hesitant to something other than the chicken from the first visit. Especially since this ended about $17.

I was behind an older gentleman in the line, he ordered his food, but did not ask for Sr. Discount. When I ordered, I asked the cashier if she had given his Sr. discount to the Lord, she said no that they no longer do it. I said well, I want my Sr. discount for my order and she got manager card to give me the discount.

The food is usually good, but the hours are that they are open until 10 o'clock. And when we arrived at 9:35, they pretended that it was a great pain to serve us, and had already turned the frits and things off. If you do not want to serve after 9:30, then change your hours.

I have been coming to this restaurant since I was a child and the customer service used to be great. However, they recently hired a manager named Jorge who does not seem to care about the customers. The staff, especially the women, have a lot of attitude. I wish that one particular man did not work there, as he was great. The food was good, but the service was lacking.

Having grown up on Roy Rogers, I was pleasantly surprised to see that this restaurant still existed. The decor looked the same as always and the service was good. However, the food was disappointing. It was average at best, nothing special. This was especially disappointing for me because I have fond memories of the restaurant from years past.
