Shorty's Southern Food - Fortson

The staff handles the rush of customers well and always seems very welcoming and kind. The food has been very good and as most businesses know sometimes mistakes happen. We received a partial wrong to go order once and they called to fix it and apologized for the error. I would check them out if you 've never been. Such a warm, family friendly atmosphere.

My family and I have been regularly eating here for almost 3 years and in the past really enjoyed our meals. The past 6 months or longer have been pretty bad. It’s hit or miss on if your order is correct. After 4 or 5 in the afternoon there is no manager/owner on-site. They are nice but cannot address recurrent issues. What once was wonderful is definitely fading.

HORRIBLE! Can't get your order right ever and the food is terrible. Really really wished Shorty still owned it, bc for 25 years I loved eating his dumpster dog every chance I got, but not it's like eating dumpster out of the garbage! Hate it every time I go back, which is not very often, but WILL NEVER BE BACK NOW!

Got the pulled pork and a half salad. I have to say the salad was very good. However the pulled pork so very salty. It was if they put salt on the meat before they served it to me. A real buzz kill after being told how good the bbq was.

We were looking for a country breakfast, found it and more! Parmesan crusted bread breakfast sandwich, avocado, waffle Brie bites, beignets. Surprising menu items for a small town. Happiest staff, clean bathrooms. Lunch/dinner menu look worthy as well!
