Bidrage med feedbackI recently visited an amazing Latin fusion restaurant in a peaceful area of Fortitude Valley. I was particularly impressed by the calamari, which I would rate 5/5, and the pavé cake that exceeded my expectations with its delicious and light flavor. While the confit duck tacos were slightly dry and could use more seasoning, they still had a good taste and a generous portion of duck. I highly recommend Fogata because the food is always amazing! 5/5 stars.
Fogata Latin Fushion is our family’s favourite Latin food in Brisbane. There are so many options to choose from, a lot of traditional dishes that use ingredients rarely found in Australia and there is definitely something for everyone! My favourite item is definitely the Maduro a roasted plantain filled with sweet Bocadillo hot melted cheese! My partners favourite was the Feijoada a Brazilian style hearty stew that definitely serves more than 2. Service is always really friendly here and staff are so knowledgeable about the menu and origins of where each item came from. Drinks menu is extensive as well and dessert is delicious. Nanxi and I decided to have a date night out of boredom and found a great Dimmi deal for 50% off at this somewhat expensive restaurant. Parking was a challenge on James Street, so we had to hope for a spot on a side street and walk quickly! The restaurant specialized in share plates, so we ordered a variety of small and large dishes. One of our first shared dishes was the pao de queijo, a Brazilian cheese bread made with tapioca flour. I love cheese, so this dish was a hit for me with its gooey, chewy texture. Nanxi, on the other hand, is not a fan of cheese but enjoyed the corn elote dish instead.
Took a trip to James St and decided to try Fogata due to the great reviews on Trip Adviser. I was really looking forward to some tasty South American food. In general the service was great, staff were very helpful and service was quick. Food portions were quite small for the price and not as tasty as I imagined. The Mohito was lovely and all food and drink were presented perfectly.
