Crab Trap, Fort Walton Beach

It's a bar! It's a seafood place! It's on the beach! How can it be any better?? Staff is awesome. Food is great! View of the Gulf, priceless! I had the Mahi-Mahi luncheon special, $20 (before Margaritas). Close to the foot of the Okaloosa Island Pier. Life IS good in F-L-A

The food high price but very mediocre quality....it's just ok. I always forget that I don't love it here and eat here EVERY TIME I come to FWB (once or twice a year). Then when I get here, I remember I don't love it. Hopefully this review will help me next year! So I will start with the fact that I travel all over the country and I am a foodie. High food prices don't bother me at all and I will pay GOOD money for good food. Crab Trap has high prices for very mediocre food. The crab dip used to be really good but it's quality has gone down the last few times I had it. This last time (2 days ago) we only got the dip and left. The crab dip is about a 7 out of 10. The pita chips that come with the dip are good (solid 7.5 out of 10). I have tried several dishes here over the last few years I have been coming down but I didn't love them. I don't remember what I ordered and I want to be fair to Crab Trap by posting an honest review. I will say there is plenty of free parking, the location is amazing (it's right on the beach with a beautiful view), service is always fast, there is plenty of space in the restaurant and the bathrooms are decently clean. The Sprite was good.

Good food, great time on the beach and near the Okaloosa Fishing Pier.

The Crab Trap is always a favorite when visiting the area! Great service and views!
