Bidrage med feedbackMastaro is probably my top choice for sushi in Fort St. John. The rolls are fresh and not cold or hard, with high-quality ingredients and fresh fish. I particularly enjoy their nigiri, where the wasabi is placed between the rice and fish as it should be. Some places in FSJ do not do this, but I personally prefer it. The server made a mistake on my order, writing hotakegai on the receipt instead of scallop, but I received surf clam instead. The rice and rolls may fall apart easily, but the overall quality of the sushi compared to other places in town is worth it. The restaurant is family-owned with a good chef, and the food is well seasoned. Overall, a great experience.
This Japanese restaurant is the top spot in town. We gave the Yakisoba an 8/10 - the serving size was larger than our first order. The Charsu ramen was a perfect 10/10, and the Grande Prairie combo was a solid 9/10.
Mastero has taken back the throne as best sushi in FSJ. Their sashimi platter is world class! I bring friends and colleagues to Mastero and they are never disappointed
I am disappointed to say that my experience at this restaurant was not pleasant. I ordered sushi in the evening and while everything appeared and tasted fine at the time, I believe something may have been mishandled or improperly cooked. I am now suffering from food poisoning, which has left me with a negative impression and no desire to order from here again.
Place is pretty big inside. I ordered the katsudon, 10/10. I really enjoyed it. Soooo good!
