The Landing - Fort Rucker

Dooo nooottt go to this place for food !! They are super slow and super forgetful. They say rapid fire fire lunches but it's more like order at 11am and get your food an hour later because that's how long it takes to get tacos out . The employees here suck too they just chat with each other instead of checking if the customers are doing alright then you hear them complain about how bad their tips were. I've tried giving this place more than one chance because I work near it but everytime they forget something on my order or completely get it wrong. Don't waste your time here !

Staff is incredible!!!! Not sure if the food is quite up to par though. The steak salad I had was mostly a salad with fat instead of beef and the fish tacos had a nasty taste. Desserts are incredible though and establishment has a nice feel to it. Not bad for an on-post restaurant but the dfac has better tasting food.

Love stopping in for drinks after work food and good and waitstaff though usually short around the time I arrive are friendly and very attentive. The food is bar food but is very tasty.

I don't come often but enough out of the year to say I've tried a lot of their selections on their menu. The fish tacos are one of my to go items they are good and fresh. The pulled pork sandwich is nothing you wouldn't get in any of the BBQ spots in the area so nothing special but it's good. They have an ultimate nacho that's fully loaded with meat jalapeños and cheese. That was good too! They have different menus for different days when it comes to their dinner menu. It's pretty cool. Like their burger nights and wing nights. This place is usually crowded during lunch hours. But always clean in my opinion.

We came to the Landing Zone for lunch today. We were promptly seated by our waitress, Kayce, and she took our order when our drinks came. All of that was working okay. I ordered a side of mayo and ranch with my Club and it came out without, no worries. Happens all the time, I reminded her and also asked if I could swap my sweet tea for lemon water and she said sure. Came back with lemon water and no sides. She walked off, I asked again when she walked past a few minutes later, she stated she was just about to do that and appeared to roll her eyes as she turned towards the kitchen. She brought them out and then we didn't see her at our table again until nine minutes after we finished eating. We ran out of drinks about 3/4 the way through our food. She and the other waitress' sat down to fold silverware into napkins which I get has to be done, but she had her back to us the whole time. Tried getting her attention but the other waitress had it while they were talking about what was on her cell phone. I've never in my life worked where you could sit around and have your cell phones out with customers around, for this very reason. If we could have felt in good conscious leaving her no tip we would have. Instead she was tipped a dollar for every minute she was at the table. With that service I would not be inclined to return again. Food was okay, but with the service as poor it was, it wasn't a pleasant experience.
