Island Beach Bar And Restaurant

Great atmosphere sitting outside listening to the waves. my **** marys were good and easy. my black Mahi-mahi sandwich was super fresh and perfectly cooked. I personally think that the blackening spiced a little more and salt. but it was really good. my chicken sandwich was perfectly boiled with an ananassalsa on that it is placed over the top. meal was delicious

The wonderful ocean breeze made our deck dining surprisingly pleasant this July afternoon. The ocean views were the eye candy! Limited staffing this afternoon as with many restaurants post Covid. Be on island time when dining here. We found this pit stop while driving up A1A, and it is open to the public. Don't let the guard gate shy you away! It's located in a resort/golf area, but Island Beach Bar/Restaurant customers are allowed! I'm so glad I took the recommendation of the waitress and ordered the Mahi sandwich, blackened. It was a drippy five napkin sandwich, very flavorful perfectly cooked mahi, served up with slices of fresh veggie toppings lettuce, tomato and onion. Oh my, a winner! Loved their in house created tartar sauce made with dill pickle. Choose your side and my French fries were crispy just the way I like! Huds ordered the Shrimp Creole and was raving. The shrimp were plump and tender. This creole was a blend of yellow rice, kielbasa, tender chicken and shrimp. An ever so slight spice rounded out this dish, and it was served with a kernel corn loaded corn muffin. A delicious dining experience!

The service was excellent... They have a limited menu though. They had a spare rib special that was cooked perfectly and the flavor was absolutely delicious ? For dessert we had a caramel whiskey glazed donut dessert that was out of this world... The Chef Scott has a great imagination and very creative with his meals. It's worth checking them out??

Lovely spot and view. We had brunch on Sunday afternoon. Looking forward to going back again and trying the burgers.

Stayed in an AirBnB nearby and ran to the restaurant for a quick lunch one day. Super wonderful food, they do sandwiches AND fancier meals (i.e. scallops) very well. The restaurant is clean and comfortable with multiple seating options. Would definitely go again.
