United Ale House - Fort Myers

Chris and I are on vacation in Fort Myers and stumbled across this place by walking around the historic downtown area near our hotel. We were craving a happy hour snack and drinks at a place that offered sidewalk seating. Aimee was our server and she was so friendly and awesome the duration of our visit. We ordered the artichoke cheese dip and I had two glasses of the Cabernet wine and Chris had two glasses of champagne. The happy hour prices made the meal a great bargain. The food and wine were delicious and we loved the sidewalk seating and the great people watching. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. We loved our dining experience and the super friendly service from Aimee. We would dine here again!

3.5 Stars We heard they serve a decent breakfast so we decided to give it a try. I know you can't control the clientele but it was a downer. The old guy 2 tables down was a loud talker. He decided to converse with another couple across from him. On top of that, he was a smoker. I know we were outside, but really man.... think about others. The table was also like a see saw, so I had to fold up my napkin to stop it from rocking. Should probably check those out. The food was very good, and the service was attentive. Strange thing. They only give you one piece of toast with your breakfast. We had to order more. Never seen that. Probably would go back, but will definitely look to see who's there before sitting down.

You can tell from the outside that the building is older from the design. You can tell from the inside that it needs some renovation. I went there for lunch. I got my burger at the temperature that I requested and the tots were cooked perfectly.

The staff was friendly, however the food not so good. Ordered the BLT, served on stale cheap bread, unripe tomato slice a chunk of lettuce. Actually the worse sandwich I've had.. took a small bite and returned it. Other food items might be better but it was so bad I would never go back to try anything else

Staff was the nicest. Accommodating and attentive. Food was so so. No Rueben cause no Roast Beef??? Not a place to go to if you want a premium meal, but more like bar food. Drinks were excellent. Staff was the best part of the visit. Fun place to hang out.
