Il Pomodoro Italian - Fort Myers

Great service. We were a party of 20 celebrating a birthday. The appetizers, eggplant, calamari, tomatoes/mozzarella/red peppers, were outstanding. Overall main entries good to great. Salmon Gustoso excellent. So was the Linguine di Mare. Veal Cardinale great. Cavatelli Arrabiatta very good. Chicken parmigiano was good, but nothing special. Next time I will have it with their homemade marinara sauce. Cannot talk enough about the service. Took interest in us. Timing of food was just right. Very friendly.

If I could give it no stars, I would. We vacation in Ft Myers often and have been here many times before. The service is always poor to surly, but we give it a pass because the veal is OK. No more. My wife I arrived at 6pm, only 3 tables occupied. The host tried to seat us at a table that looked small for a single, jammed into a corner with folding “card table” chairs. When I told him it wouldn’t do, he said that was all they had as they were busy! This place was empty. The food is just OK, the service is always marginal…why did it take me so long to tell you all to avoid this place!

As a family we first came to the il pomodoro restaurant to celebrate a birthday and we were blown away with the phenomenal service from our server mary and manager randy. eating was amazing and I would be absolutely back to taste more of the delicious dishes on the menu. thanks mary and randy!

After the terrible terra Nostra experience, it is really nice for an East Coastal person to find a really good traditional Italian restaurant. my wife and I ate here about a year ago and I died to go back. her calamari ia brilliant and spicy. so at this visit, absolutely no farewell! the garlic rolls were brilliant, the muscheln appetizer was enormous and a great part for all 3 of us to choose. our meals we are Multo-Bene! even the next Sunday! angry mussels, groupers and garnel in lemon butter sauce! You miss if you don't go there! family owned and operated. beautiful to support the little guy. a must be in continued myers, even if they have to travel from the kap.

Absolutely amazing! my family and I were here to eat. they don't wait. super friendly staff and great eating. I have the Rigatoni-Bolognese that was incredible! everyone on my table loved eating!
