Sweet Basil Restaurant - Fort McMurray

Very poor service. Called the restaurant at about 7:30 pm to order food for takeout. No answer. Went to the restaurant an hour later at 8:23 PM. Open sign was lit up. Website shows open hours to 10 PM. Sign on door so showed hours to 9 PM. Was told at 8:23 when I was standing at the counter to order food that they were closed. I drove across town to try this on a recommendation. I likely won’t be back to try this again.

This local restaurant offers great food, especially their pho. Very tasty and authentic. Recommend you visit this restaurant if you like Asian food.

Had the Beef Satay Hot Plate, and i have to say the food was very delicious!! My usual meal here is Special Vermicelli which is great as well . This Beef Satay today was soooo good may have found my new favorite!! The prices here are good , the portions are very big!!

Food was bland and I did not like the customer service. The staff were rude and the food did not taste fresh. Felt like my pho noodles were left sitting around for a couple hours.

I travel to Fort Mac for work a lot and went to Sweet Basil last winter a few times. It was good food but maybe not best quality. But this year it seems to have gotten a lot better and the mango salad is amazing. Definitely much more authentic than what I remember.
