Bidrage med feedbackWe ordered 4 seol leung tang for to go and drove 1 hour to home. when we opened the bag, we found that it was only 3/4 full and that content was so thin that it tasted like water. we are Korean and have eaten this suppe for half a decade and never seen this type of unconsciousness business. we bring all this back for full return and two hours time and gas back. they will lose so business.
Used to be good before the renovation. The seolung tang is just bland even with salt and pepper. How is that possible? Overpriced and waste of money.
TLDR: Solid spot for Korean soups. Don't understand the reviews. Came for a quick family dinner and everything was enjoyable. I too and stumped by the negative reviews. Ample parking, clean restaurant, nice layout, very comfortable a wide range of excellent Korean soups. I don't see what the problem is. Everyone's dish was good. The pancake was nice and crispy, fluffy in the center. Thin sliced spicy pork belly was delightful. I had sips of everyone's broth but I thoroughly enjoyed my yukkaejang. Spicy, beefy, so hot and just wonderfully satisfying. Especially for the brisk night that it was. If you're craving something heartwarming and comforting, Gameeok is perfect.
Great traditional Korean dish restaurant that you can find in Seoul. Korean Broth Tang for quick lunch for nearby errand runners or travelers.
Probably one of my most favorite restaurants as I go to two locations: in fortlee or NYC. I always comeback here and crave their haemul pajeon, seolleong tang deluxe rice on the side) soondae, and bossam. Haemul pajeon also known as seafood pancakes it's so good! Great starter/ appetizer. It's filled with seafood and green onions, pairs super well with their kimchi they have the BEST kimchi and radish) . Good for sharing Soondae: blood sausage may not be everyone's favorite) but it's super yummies with their kimchi and radish as well, good for sharing. Also great starter! Bossam: pork belly w/ pickled cabbage and marinated kimchi: this is my fav and I always order this when I go to either of the locations. The pork belly mixed so well with the pickled cabbage and marinated kimchi. Honestly, chef's kiss. Good for sharing, for bigger groups as well! And my always go to perfect for cold and rainy weathers: I get the seolleong tang deluxe and it comes with rice on the side. They will give salt and pepper on the side, and also a big bowl of green onions. Also, pour some of their homemade kimchi/ radish sauce into the seolleong tang and it makes it so good and yummies! Add some rice, soup, meat, and top of a piece of kimchi and I will guarantee you the perfect bite. The NYC location maybe small and it's on the second floor of ktown, so it's better for a small date or a smaller group. Often very crowded at nights because of the location as well. Fortlee location has parking and good for bigger groups. Both locations food tastes the same, no notable differences. Service is great for both, would highly recommend this restaurant all year round!
