Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant is in a great location and the outdoor seating is very pleasant with a great view of the intracoastal. We all agreed that the service was exceptional throughout the evening. We’ve known that this chain usually places their restaurants in touristy areas and there is a reason for that. The food quality, with some exceptions doesn’t merit the price they charge and if the depended on locals, they wouldn’t make it. The exception: The lobster bisque here is excellent, among the best we’ve had. The prime rib is also outstanding. However, the chop salad has no taste. I had the “Best of Shrimp”, which features three different shrimp preparations; coconut, crab-stuffed, and scampi. The coconut shrimp was good but the same as what you can get at the Outback for a lot less, the scampi was below average, and the crab-stuffed shrimp had a really bad stuffing, not crab, so the menu is misleading. The stuffing was very fishy. My wife tried the filet medallions. She ordered it medium and it came out well done. The GM offered to redo her dish but we would have been finished by the time it came. We should have sent it back and had it removed from the bill but she ate it anyway. The GM failed to offer us anything, even charged three dollars for a cup of coffee. If your okay with mediocre food that costs a lot, the view, atmosphere and lobster bisqu make this a worthwhile try but next time, we’ll go elsewhere.
Only one buffet was available. they ran out of different things. the dings that were there were ordinary and tepid best. it seemed more child oriented. there were two servier dishes of Mac cheese. I would not recommend a buffet in the charthaus
The server was excellent, eating was exceptional. large ambient
That was one of the worst culinary experiences I ever had. I suppose it is to be expected that when they go for a mother's day buffet, they expect to be be quilted to the price. I assume they should expect that eating is understandards and cold. therefore I never choose a restaurant with a brunch or buffet for the Mother's Day. So imagine my surprise when I arrived in the chart house to find that the only option for our reservation of 6 o'clock was a $45 buffet. Nowhere on open table, yet on the restaurant website showed that this was their only mother's day option or that it was even an option. no one mentioned that when I was called to confirm the reservation. but there we were, kept hostage to this exorbitant price and disappointing eating, because where else could you go in this holiday without reservation? So, eating. apparently, as we came to dinner, we didn't even get the same decisions that had the earlier masses, as all early pieces/brunch options were gone. the carving station offered hard, cold roast beef, there were moderate chicken salmon, fried tilapia (I couldn't eat my piece, as it tasted extremely fish,) fair peeling and eau garnel, some mouth side. the worst was the desserts - a huge carrot cake, which could perhaps have been the only real dessert that was omitted from the day, some creepy brownies, an industrial cake and what could happen as chips Ahoy cookies and cotton sweets. no warning. to say all this if I am forced to pay this price, I would have expected a decent meal. do not even contain mimosa/champagne. a huge torn. also during the interior of the restaurant was half empty, tables that were dirty when we arrived were in the same condition when we went. Finally, to intercept the evening, we were subject to a loud argument: a manager threatened to call the police to a group of people who were accused not to pay their bill. I could sympathize with them.
I was disappointed that they did not have the regular menu available. The buffet was OK, but not as good as the food they normally serve on their menu. However, the gal we had as a server was the best I ever had, so that was a surprise and I hope she returns. Hopefully, they will bring back the great food too when they reopen. Has always been my favorite spot to dine by the water!
