We were informed that they open at 8 and brunch is served at 9. However, when we arrived at 9:10am, we found the doors to be locked. This happened every time we tried to visit, even though their website indicated that they were open. It was very frustrating, especially since we were hoping to support a small business.
Great food , excellent service and the restaurant is very nicely decorated. They also serve a fantastic Sunday brunch.
We went to the restaurant on Friday evening without a reservation and were turned away. However, we were able to make a reservation for the following evening at 5 o'clock. We were surprised to see that the menu consisted of burgers and sandwiches, rather than the fancier options we were expecting. Despite this, the food was excellent. We enjoyed homemade burgers, a club sandwich, crispy fries, and creamy coleslaw. The restaurant offered a choice of wine, both red and white, which complemented the meal well. The service was efficient, provided by bilingual staff. We recommend making reservations in advance as the restaurant fills up quickly, especially on weekends. We also noted a 50th birthday party with over 25 guests of all ages. Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant for its great food and reasonable prices (we spent $50 for two people, including wine and tip). The restaurant is only open Thursday through Sunday.
We brought our visitors and guest to Magnum for their Sunday Brunch since it provides a variety of soothing, tasty breakfast brunch items that have always pleased us in the past. Unsurprisingly, the maple syrup on our pancakes and french toast 'roped us in '! The restaurant was busy as is typical for its brunch. So much so that there was a minor delay in getting refills for our coffees the fresh coffee being popular with all the patrons led to the servers being extra busy. I found that scrambled eggs were just a tad less perfact than in my previous visits but that didn 't stop me from returning for a second helping! The pancakes and maple syrup were as good as ever. So, a second serving of them took place as well! I do have one suggestion that they get a better and fresher, not from concentrate, orange juice. We 'll be back excellent value for the price they charge!
Easter brunch was a fantastic success for Magnum. Place was full from opening till closing, an excellent indicator of the restaurant's popularity! Brunch included plenty of dishes offered with maple syrup or cooked with the syrup yummmmmmmy! Scrambled eggs, sausages with or without being cooked in the syrup, hash browns, pancakes, bacon (with or wthout), ham pineapple, beans, croissants, toast, French toast, and other items (can't remember them all), provided the main meal. Then there was the dessert table together with Easter goodies for the kiddies. I managed to avoid the cakes, fruit mixtures, and maple flavoured goodie, but that one maple fudge cone cried out for me to take it.It was so right a perfect mouth watering finish to the excellent brunch. Plenty of coffee, etc. to wash it down. The orange juice tasted like Tang though. Super good value for the price charged!
