Bidrage med feedbackElegance is the word that comes to mind once you enter this place. Shining cutlery, soft music, different-unique taste, not the typical keralite or Portuguese, but something in between with a modern outlook! Portions are more European, hence order carefully, starters can be small but main course could b bigger for a single person!
Elegance and class is by far the best one can feel whilst entering the History at Brunton. The Soft music, shining glassware and cutlery are all a signature sight here. One of the best places in Fort Kochi for traditional Kerala and Jewish inspired dishes. Cannot recommend a favourite here as it wouldn’t do justice to the beauties in the menu. A personal choice though would definitely be the ‘Chuttulli Meen’ . Any of the dishes here and a glass of your favourite wine is a great way to unwind in Namma Kochi. Cheers fellow foodies!
Great fusion Kerala and Portuguese food, with an ambience worth writing about (hence this small contribution). The name and the dishes are a tribute to Kochi's history, as is the restaurant itself, where you are seated under a high wooden roof criss-crossed with beautiful beams. Three musicians were playing carnatic music, and service was discreet and spectacular. Drinks are priced on the higher side, but food is reasonable for the quantity and quality. Inside Brunton Boatyard and unmissable.
I have visited History Restaurant 2 year ago. When i was in Kochi. It was my first Visit to Brunton boatyard and I came here with my wife and brother. We heard a lot about the hotel, seafood restaurant. Right from the beginning the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. They wish you with traditional folding hands. We had the Seafood experience which offers 4 course meal at a very good deal with choice of fresh catch of the day with offerings of different marination. My brother order a chicken entrée and wife ordered for Palak paneer. Mind you it was Palak aur paneer which served along with moong dal and herd rice. All the meal dishes were delicious.<br/ Icing on the cake. The live Indian classical instrumental music.<br/ <br/ Special thanks to Dhanya for looking after our table and to Lins Luckose the Manager.
There are some places in kochi that a person just has to visit, and History is one of them. The ambience of the place is top notch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Yes,it is expensive thats why the 4 stars), food for 5 cost us 4k without any starters. But the food is delicious. Appams were tasty, the biryani was flavourful. The chocolate ganache was delightful. And please do try their homemade ice creams. loved the banana flavour. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
