Knockomie Inn - Forres

I cannot say enough about The Knockomie Inn. This is a beautiful old house/inn with a fantastic staff. The beautiful old wood, especially the staircase, is full of rustic elegance. The beds were comfortable! Even though it didn't get dark until 11:30pm and got light at 4:00am, I SLEPT. The bar was very well stocked, and Bill is a great conversationalist to chat with while you enjoy your drink. And the food!Holy cow it was delicious! The entire staff was incredibly pleasant and courteous and will do whatever it takes to accommodate you and to make you comfortable. Every single member of the staff that we met Bill, Ruci (sp? , Dylan, Ryan, Tyler, Kiera (sp? was a pleasure to meet. I went to Forres to go fly fishing, and when I go back to fish the Findhorn again, I will be staying at The Knockomie Inn. Can't wait! Thank you all for a wonderful stay!

I have been ti Knockomie on several occasions but before the pandemic was a special evening but we came away disappointed not only was the food not as good as we remember but the decibel levels where we were sat was unbearable it really was hard to enjoy a family dinner with all the commotion going on they would have been better placed to have the two big and noisy parties in one room and allowed diners a quieter experience in the other sadly not sure I will be running back Service: 3 Location: 4

We stayed at the Knockomie Hotel from May 6th to May 12th. Our experience couldn't have been better. Gavin and Penny, owners of the hotel, made us feel welcome and provided the kind or service that sadly is no longer routine. This hotel is a little quirky, in a good way, and offers a Scottish encounter that is unique and well worthy of anyone hoping to experience the real Scotland. The food is first class and the little bar is absolutely perfect. As for the whisky, well what can I say..... I give this establishment my full commendation. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

This place is my absolute favourite in northern Scotland and the Speyside area. Quiet place, good food, nice rooms and a great experience of feeling welcome by the team and famil, running the place. If you are in this area you dont wanna miss this place. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 4
