Bidrage med feedbackReally nice food, a couple of courses will cost £15-20 and a good bar too. There is a decent selection of wine and four real ales on tap too. Decent amount of parking as well. Pub is 1.1 miles from bracelands campsite for those walking.
Outstanding! From the friendly service provided by Sam, to the excellent quality and quantity of the food, everything was perfect! I would gladly make the journey of over an hour from my hometown just to enjoy a Sunday roast at this restaurant. My only small complaint is about the dessert menu - I was excited to see 'Lemon Meringue', as it's my favorite dessert, but when it arrived it was more like a light cheesecake rather than the lemon meringue pie I was expecting. We overheard the couple at the next table express the same disappointment, so perhaps consider updating the description on the dessert board. Regardless, this minor issue wouldn't deter me from returning in the future. Great job, team at the New Inn!
During our weekend stay at Forest Holidays, we decided to dine at a pub recommended on their website. The pub had a charming atmosphere and friendly bar staff, but unfortunately, the food was extremely disappointing. The lasagne tasted like a supermarket ready meal, and the chicken burgers were overcooked and inedible. It seemed as though the food had been reheated rather than freshly prepared by trained chefs. We were able to negotiate a discount on the bill, as most of the food went untouched due to its poor quality. Overall, we left the pub feeling hungry and disappointed. It is a shame as the pub has the potential to be a great dining spot.
The food was absolutely delightful, the staff were very helpful, and the atmosphere was amazing. I highly recommend trying the roast dinners as they were delicious.
We went for Sunday lunch, the ‘mega’ option was very nice.. and massive! The lovely staff looked after us really well, chatted and had fun with our kids and generally made us feel welcome. Perfect.
