Bidrage med feedbackIt was a pleasant surprise to find this hidden gem between Chepstow and Lydney. When visiting this restaurant, guests can also enjoy Krazy Golf, the park owned by the company, and the crafts shop next door. Additionally, there is a car boot sale in the direction of Chepstow, which operates on Sundays. Other nearby attractions include bike rentals in Lydney and a steam train in the parking lot. As for the food, it pays homage to the American diner experience using locally sourced beef served in a high-quality broth with delicious side dishes. The service was excellent, and we were able to sit outside with our dog to enjoy the beautiful view. The interior is filled with Americana décor that exceeds expectations for an American diner. The furnishings are great and deserve recognition. It is a wonderful place for families to spend a few hours, and the golf course looked fantastic! The prices are reasonable as well. I will definitely be returning soon. Note that the restaurant is open from 10-4 Thursday to Sunday.
I visited this restaurant today with my husband, son, and dog. The staff was extremely friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to provide excellent service. They even gave us a complimentary homemade chutney with our burger and made sure to check if we needed vegan mayonnaise or ice for our drinks (even though we are not vegan, we appreciate having these options available). It was nice to see that despite being a small establishment, they had a good variety of choices. They even moved a table to give us more space to spread out. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and this extra mile really enhanced our dining experience. I'd also like to extend the same compliment to the gentleman who runs the mini golf next door - he was cheerful and helpful. Thank you!
Today, the kids visited this place and were impressed with the high-quality food and great value for money. The staff was very friendly and we highly recommend this restaurant.
We came on a Tuesday last year to lydney, the day that sparkys is closed, so praised to come on another day this time. we received a cordial greeting to explain with personal eagerly their Covid-19 changes, handsanitisers, distance tables, track and track...Details to take (and how these informations are stored) and chose our burgers. they can have a 4oz or 8oz option, at a very reasonable £4.50 or £7 start price, then add their options from a wide range. we added, between us, speck, cheese, mushroom and hash brown, all of which were delicious. something I would say is that the 8oz burger actually stacks two 4oz patties, so that it is easy to finish with a towering burger that is actually quite difficult to eat! the bark itself is local and very tasty. the standard rolls are sharp acidic, although gluten-free ciabatta is available on request. the spices came out on request in small bowls, so no waste, and the straws are recommended paper.
Visited today as a family of 6 for our son's 14th Birthday and we couldn't fault it. Brilliant value, local meat and fantastic service. They went above and beyond and were friendly and helpful, staying past closing time for us. The food was lovely and...the Birthday touches were really appreciated. Would definitely recommend and will be back.
