Bidrage med feedbackGreat little pub hidden pretty well but well worth the find. Bargain lunches for $10 with a drink purchase. I love soda water with with fresh lemon lime, their charge is only .50 cents. Great bar staff, prompt and friendly service. I ordered the Caesar salad no bacon, cost me $10. Made fresh, tasty dressing, crunchy croutons. I can't complain. Great spot !! I'll be back.
Awesome food and staff.Meals are huge and fairly cheap. Dinner specials are good and so is the $10 lunch menu. Favourite meal is the chicken parmy which u can get on a Wednesday night for only $15 too!!
Lucky Star is one of southside Brisbane's underappreciated gems. My wife and I, often with our adult children, have been regular visitors for the last five years and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.<br/ <br/ It is the sort of restaurant that tourists should visit if they want to sample authentic Australian cuisine and ambience, rather than the pretentious offerings that are so easy to find elsewhere.<br/ <br/ The menu changes periodically, but is basically normal pub fare (steaks, chicken, fish, seafood, etc) with three specials of the day (usually a pasta, a fish dish, and one other) on a chalkboard near the cashier. Seating is a choice of booths or tables, the latter being both inside or outside on a large verandah. We prefer the booths because they create a greater sense of intimacy.<br/ <br/ The food is always well-prepared and, even on their very busy nights, arrives fairly promptly (the cashier will always say if a delay is expected but food always arrives sooner than promised).<br/ Staff are friendly and helpful.Monday nights have a standing two for one deal on main meals. Most other days also have a special deal of some sort.
Great steaks! Monday 241 is a great deal! The quoted 1.5hr wait only turns out to be 45min hahaGood option for Mondays with big servings.Seafood plate is huge!
Had a groupon dinner in group of four last Wednesday. Although I have been working around the area and have tried the other eateries in the same shopping village, I admitted that I really overlooked this place not until there was a groupon deal. Indeed, the deal really worth for the value because we could have shared garlic breads with mains and two bottle of wine (it is a bargain! . Hero definitely was the garlic bread, it was a surprise to us. Mains of Barramundi, rib fillet and rump steak were all on local hotel standard. The extra bonus to us was the opportunity to see the other diners indulging in playing a game held by the hotel, which made me the feeling of missing a lot of Australian culture.....Overall it is a decent experience.
