Bidrage med feedbackThe Le Vieux Pressoir is the perfect venue for entertaing both family and friends and certainly impressive - very smart, comfortable, spotlessly clean and nicely presented. The owner is a very nice, friendly and attentive lady. All dishes (including the Plat du jour) are nicely presented and very tasty - and good value for money.Extensive car park. There are tables both inside and out.Highly recommended for that special day.
We were recommended to this restaurant by friends who went at lunchtime. It was rather quiet for a Saturday night so lacked a little atmosphere, perhaps because it is well away from the town centre. .The food in particular the fish dishes were very good the presentation beautifully done though my friend had a disappointingly tough steak, the service and welcome were excellent.
This is as close to fine dining as you will get for a great price. It is a little off the beaten track, but very nice. Waitress was very helpful with no rush.
I liked this restaurant so much I have returned many times with my family and friends and it never disappoints. Great food with fresh local ingredients run by lovely people.
Four of us went to this restaurant very recently as we were all keen to try it. It seemed from what I read online that booking is essential so I sent an email requesting a table via the Vieux Pressoir website. After several days I hadn't received a reply which frequently happens in France as I'm convinced many establishments are yet to grasp the concept of the internet. I phoned to make our reservation which was straightforward and pointed out the lack of reply to my email and received the telephone equivalent of the Gallic shrug. The lunch was adequate, but really nothing special and my main course of Guinea fowl cooked three different ways was meagre in quantity. The desserts were OK, but nothing more. The place is clean, tidy with good table linen, crockery etc and convenient parking, but the answer to the question "Would you go again" was a unanimous "No" as it wasn't good value for money, the food was average at best and to us the restaurant lacked atmosphere.Next time we'll take lunch at Le Pinky which we know and like. Granted as a bistro it's a different concept to Le Veiux Pressoir, but the place is always buzzing with (mostly) French diners, enjoying the food which is good and not overpriced.
