Bidrage med feedbackIt was a debate whether 4 or 5 stars so really a 4 1/2! Food was good and fresh. Pizza for me, pasta for my wife. Could I not manage a main course but was very good. Great to see good thin crust pizza! We dropped in without a reservation and glad that we got a table. Very busy and surprised that the chef and waitress managed to serve so many, and do takeaways tan the same time!
The restaurant is on the high street just down from the Bandstand car park and has real wooden front doors that seem to match in with the street so could easily be missed. Met there with my partner for lunch and as you walk in it seems a quaint cozy restaurant. However as you continue walking you discover more room, a downstairs room where we ate and tables outside in the garden. We both chose pizzas which were lovely hot and delivered quite quickly. Washed it down with a carafe (also called pichet) of rosé house wine and I finished off with a café gourmand delicious. Friendly atmosphere pleasant staff and reasonable price. Have read reviews by others who praise the pizzas but are not so complimentary to other food so may have to return and comment about this in the future!
Wanted to treat a friend to lunch and as he is a fan of all things pizza we tried here. Very pleased. Good service prompt and helpful and the prices seemed reasonable also. We all had pizza, which were tasty lots of topping and really quite large. No room for pudd. It seemed to be very popular with the locals which is always a good sign. Would go again.
Lovely little restaurant. Contemporary interior is complimented by high walls and great lighting. Food was delicious and the cafe gourmand was amazing. Would like to go back to eat in the lovely courtyard garden.
Sometimes finding a decent place to eat in this area can be difficult. This is the first time of visiting Cantina Mia and we were delighted that we listened to the advice on here. The staff were welcoming and even though we hadn't booked, they were very accommodating. The restaurant is separated into 3 different areas; one being the upstairs, street level section which is small but bright and airy. The other is downstairs and is well decorated and the final section is a great garden area with tables and fairy lights throughout. The menu is fairly varied and the pizza very good, the only complaint being that all four of our pizzas would have benefitted from a minute less in the oven. Be aware that it can be popular if you don't book. Arrive at 7ish to avoid disappointment. We will definitely be returning in the future.
