El Chalet Salvadoreno - Fontana

Oh no, they should rename this place to Chalet Bakery. I give it 2 stars because the Queen is good, but the pupusas? My goodness, where do I even begin. They are hard, round discs with strange cheese. It's not your typical pupusa in terms of taste or texture. I've had plenty of pupusas in my lifetime in El Salvador, New York, and even in California, and this place has the worst and most tasteless pupusas. The other negative reviews are spot on.

This is a small restaurant where they can kill an appetit on some pupusas. the pupusa had a good amount of cheese, the teig needed a little more to cook to be perfect. 7/10Curtido lacked the brownish unique taste. 4/10Salsa had good taste. 8/10Caldo de pollo has a large portion and very tasteful. 9/10Top elements for me were the horchata. 11/10Your ensalda was also very tasty. my suggestion would be if they hacked the fruit a little more 10/10. the personal is super friendly! 10/10. overall it was a good experience my only recommendation for this small restaurant would be an upgrade to their hvac and more maintenance in the property.

The pupusas and salsa lacked flavor, and the curtido was excessively salty.

This place sucking... eating is okay, but intentionally when they are hispanic giving them terrible customer service.

The food is delicious, the atmosphere is nice, but the waitstaff could use a better attitude.
