Los Ranchos In Bayside - Fontainebleau

I was at the restaurant today. The food was ok, however the forks and knives were so old, that does not match with the elegance of the restaurant. The dishes were also so old that there were not a set of dishes. We were 4 people at the table and all the dishes were totally different. We can see very clear that the restaurant needs to change the old silverware and the set of dishes.

Ok I'll admit, to me this place has fallen off the map, however my recent visit confirms Los Ranchos has made a great comeback. Food was great again, service friendly and warm, and dessert outstanding. I was reluctant to return but, this place is BACK!!! Definitely the best Churrasco around and a great value with unlimited sides.

It must have been a bad night for outside table #73. Last night Sat 11/18/06, 5 hungry guests ate cold ribs and tough steak. I have read other reviews and they were all good. However on this night it was not our waiter seemed to be a.w.o.l when we did try to summon him, he put his hand up like a stop sign and said wait if I was not so hungry. I would have left the place. Also only 4 out of 5 people, only my mother was the hold out she won’t be coming back.

The steak was excellent cooked just to my liking... and the atmosphere was relaxing and nice.

OK ... when I first met my wife back in 1994, this is where I took her for dinner. It was an incredible restaurant, and had some of the best food in Miami. I have been back MANY times over the intervening years, and have watched a sad slide into mediocrity ... particularly in the last year. My last visit was the last time I will go to this restaurant; food quality has gone down significantly, and the menu now looks like something more appropriate for a cut rate diner. Not that the prices have dropped they still charge top dollar for poor food, poor service, and bad atmosphere. Can you tell I'm not a happy camper? I hate to see good restaurants go bad and this one is a real disappointment. If you're going to Bayside, check out the Hard Rock Cafe instead food quality is superior and a better value for your money.
